Dan is a 26-year-old from Brisbane, Australia. He started photography at the age of 11 with his mother’s old camera and became fascinated by manipulating light with long exposure photography. This led to an ongoing interest in astrophotography.

Dan went on to do multiple courses, including landscape photography in 2012, run by Nigel Gaunt, followed by astrophotography and underwater photography in 2015 run by Darren Jew and Sean Scott.

In 2018 Dan moved to Townsville to continue his studies. He was exposed to a level of wildlife he had never experienced before and fell in love with wildlife photography.

At present, Dan spends most of his spare time chasing the perfect shot of the best wildlife Australia has to offer.
